About Our Dutch
At K, L & M Rabbitry, we strive to raise top quality Dutch rabbits. We have dabbled in every variety throughout the years, but have decided to focus on black and chocolate. We have also decided to hang onto one of our gray bucks because he has become a part of the family, so there may also be some gray/steel litters in the future.
Meet a few of our rabbits!
Layla Case -- Layla comes from Case of Dutch Rabbitry. She is an older doe who showed quite well in her younger days and is now producing nice kits for me. I love the markings on this girl! She has her flaws, but overall she's a well-balanced, well-marked girl. After living at B & T Rabbitry for a year, Layla is back with us and will likely retire here after a couple more litters.
April Valley's Sweetie (Cairo) -- This doe is another beautiful black with excellent type. Unfortunately she is brood quality only because of a scar on her nose.
Ayers D9 (Madrid) -- Maddie has the fullest hindquarters and best head I've ever seen on a doe. Her overall body type is excellent and I am impressed with her markings. She has done well on the show table, going so far as to place 7th of 19 at Dutch Nationals.
NBCD's April -- April is by far my favorite doe. She comes from Wilbur Williamson's lines. She was my first chocolate Dutch doe, and won BIS (and a leg) at the first show I took her to. She is a little old to do so well on the show table now, but she will always be my favorite. April has just returned to our rabbitry as she is getting on in years. Thank you Taylor -- I am happy to have her back! She will spend the rest of her days here lounging about and being spoiled rotten.
Pritchard's Chester -- Chester is the only gray we plan on keeping around for some time. He has many BOBs and BOSBs under his belt from 4H shows, as well as BOSVs and BOVs from ARBA and 4H shows. He has produced some very nice gray babies in the past, as well as a couple steels. However, since we have decided to focus on black and chocolate due to a lack of time and cage space Chester will only be bred to the occasional black doe. This cutie got lucky--when the rest of the grays were sold, he got to stay because we're just too attached.
